ADDS is presenting a play reading evening and would love The Club Community to come along and join us. This event is open to all Club and ADDS Members and will entail a sit-down script read of ADDS member Kevin Corrigan’s most recent script, ‘Captain Freedom’, a comedy-drama, Everyone will be given a chance to read one of the characters and we’ll swap in people, or you can just come along and just listen.

Captain Freedom is about Alan Finkelstein, a budding New York actor.
He has big dreams about being a movie star, but his useless agent only ever gets him parts in adverts playing vegetables or bit parts in rubbish films. Besides Alan, the characters in the play are Alan’s agent George/Georgina (male or female) and his secretary; Alan’s girlfriend (also a budding actor); Alan’s mother (she makes his superhero costume) and father (watches TV and drinks beer) – they also appear as Alan’s superhero parents in a dream sequence; a policeman/ woman, shopkeeper, thief; advert director; and family in a car.

This will be a relaxed, yet fun evening so please join us in the Main Hall on Thursday 18 April.

If you are a Club Member and interested in attending this event, please register your interest by emailing: adds.secretary@gmail.com or contact Shivon Watson at 056 209 6179 to find out more.
