This is an exciting collaboration from two of the longest-running theatrical groups in Abu Dhabi. With a combined experience of over 100 years of theatre, ADDS and ADCG will be joining the Tapestry Festival with a raucous Cabaret on 12th & 13th June, showcasing their comedy, music, and a love for live entertainment.

Abu Dhabi Dramatic Society (ADDS) has been bringing theatre to life in the UAE since 1969. As one of the original sections of The Club, ADDS has been a continuous source of joy and entertainment to members and the wider community. ADDS welcomes a variety of personalities, talents and nationalities from around the world and presents a wonderful opportunity for people to come together, make friends and have a lot of fun whilst entertaining the audiences. In recent years, ADDS has produced more serious productions like The Mousetrap, original scripts like Irene Cleans Up (which will be transferring to Edinburgh festival later this year), as well as their ever-popular annual panto, murder mysteries and variety shows.

Since 1977, the Abu Dhabi Choral Group (ADCG) has brought together music lovers, performers, and theatre enthusiasts from around the world to celebrate the magic of Broadway. Home to a vibrant community of adults aged 18+ representing more than 15 nationalities, ADCG welcomes everyone from first-time performers to seasoned stage veterans. With casts of 40–50 performers each season, ADCG produces two major shows every year: a full-scale Broadway musical in spring/summer and a high-energy concert-style musical revue in the fall. Recent sell-out productions include Shrek (2025), Sister Act (2024), Spamalot (2023), alongside annual themed musical revues showcasing iconic numbers from across the world of musical theatre.
