LEARN THE ROPES IN HOW TO SAIL
As a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) certified training centre, the Sailing Academy offers RYA courses, programs and qualifications, inclusive of powerboat courses to Members of all ages, and abilities. The courses and programs are run by a qualified and experienced RYA Instructor and is invested through his passion to grow the sport here at The Club.
Adult Members are guided through the RYA Sailing Scheme from levels 1 to 3. Progress your way through the stages from understanding how a boat sails to sailing a double-handed boat as crew or helm. The scheme comprises a series of levels enabling you to progress quickly from beginner to expert in a controlled, safe and enjoyable environment.
powerboat courses
Gain your Royal Yachting Association Powerboat Level 2 License (RYA PB2) for vessels up to 12 meters right here at The Club.
The course consists of 16 hours altogether which can be delivered both during the week and/or weekends. The course focuses on low-speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed and collision regulations.
